do your skincare products contain fragrance?
None of our skin or body care products contain added fragrance. Any scent that is in the product occurs naturally from the whole-herb that has been slowly infused into the product. This is what we refer to as our "whole-herb infusion". No essential oils or fragrance are used in our skin + body care products.
what is whole-herb infused?
"Whole-herb infused" refers to our proprietary method of slowly infusing organic herbs into our skin + body creations. This method allows for all of the wonderful natural vitamins and healing constituents of the plant (including the natural fragrance) to infuse into our offerings. This eliminates the much faster but more consequential method of simply "pouring" essential oils into the product. Our process is slow, tedious and truly a labor of love. We boast this method and take pride in the statement that our offerings are an art form in their own right. A true nod to creational artisanship.
what is tallow, why is it so good?
Grass-fed Tallow is a nourishing, healthy and pure saturated fat derived from cows and has been used for centuries by our ancestors to heal and nurture the skin. Tallow is filled to the brim with natural vitamins like A,E,K,C, and D. Tallow is also full of skin-loving lipids and ceramides that help to revitalize and repair the skin barrier, making your skin healthy and glowing. Best of all, tallow is low-PUFA and gets along with nearly every skin type. We've been pioneering the use of tallow in our skincare creations for over a decade.
do you use essential oils in your skincare?
We do not use any essential oils in our skin + body care products.
what are your skincare products free-from?
our skin + body care products are free from fillers, synthetic fragrance, silicones, parabens, paraffins, essential oils, mineral oils, and high-PUFA oils.
our candles are made with 6-free, clean fragrance free from carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, acute toxins, organs toxins and are 100% phthalate-free.
what is a PUFA, why are they so bad?
Poly Unsaturated Fatty Acid ("PUFA") is a chain of highly-inflammatory fatty acids, also known as “linoleic acid”, commonly found in seeded oils and various vegetable oils. These oils may be linked with various skin issues like acne, rashes, redness, accelerated pigmentation with sun exposure, aggravation to eczema and so on. For these reasons we decided to formulate our creations with pure, saturated and monounsatured fats, which contain very low and balanced amounts of poly-unsaturated acids. Saturated fats contain all of the wonderful and nourishing vitamins, lipids and ceramides without the inflammatory aspect.

what is your clean fragrance transparency?
our candles are created with a 6-free, clean fragrance. we're proud to say that our fragrance selection is free from carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, acute toxins, organ toxins and is 100% phthalate-free.
which products contain fragrance?
Currently, the only collection in our offerings formulated with fragrance are our Lush Candles. We will always disclose if our product includes any fragrance.
do you have fragrance-free options?
We do offer fragrance-free candles which contain only pure beeswax and grass-fed tallow. Please always check the ingredients listed on the product and product page to see if they contain any fragrance or herbs.
do you use essential oils in your candles?
We do not directly use or formulate with essential oils in any of our products, including our Lush Candles. However, we would like to note that due to the nature of the product, our clean, 6-free fragrance may contain trace amounts of essential oil components. At this time we cannot guarantee that our offerings that include fragrance have a 0% of any essential oils (or components). We would like to assure you that we use the cleanest fragrance currently available and formulate with modest amounts in our candle creations. We encourage our guests to use their best discretion if this may be of any concern.
do you use paraffin wax?
We do not use any Paraffin, Vegetable, Soy or Synthetic wax in our candle creations. Our Candles are a blend of pure, wildcrafted Beeswax and clean grass-fed Tallow.
how should I care for my candle?
If cotton, trim wick to 1/4" in length each time before lighting. Be sure to place on a heat-safe surface while lit.
It is always best to burn your candle until the wax is fully melted to the edge of the jar before snuffing the flame. This allows for an even, clean burn & avoids pooling + tunneling.
never leave candle unattended.

is your packaging eco-friendly?
Yes, we're committed to reducing our environmental impact and have taken steps to ensure that our packaging is eco-friendly. Our products are housed in Lead-free glass and BPA-free plastic where applicable. We use recyclable and biodegradable materials whenever possible, and are always striving for ways to improve our sustainability practices.
are your products ethically made?
Yes, we're committed to ethical practices and strive to ensure that all of our products are made with the utmost care especially in sourcing ingredients. We work closely with our suppliers which are oft familial farmers across North America and France to ensure that they meet our ethical and purity standards.
are your products safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
We take the safety of our guests very seriously and we understand that pregnancy and breastfeeding is a more sensitive entity. While many of our products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is our discretion that you consult with your healthcare provider and use your best judgment before using any new products.
We also provide detailed ingredient lists and product information to help you make informed decisions about your skincare routine.
what is your return policy?
Our products are made lovingly by hand and we hope you enjoy them just as much as we do. Because we work so intimately with our products from start to finish, quality is not something that’s overlooked at any point in the process. Due to the nature of our products, we do not currently offer returns. If an item arrived broken or damaged please contact us within 24 hours of arrival so we can quickly work a resolution.
candle policy:
We understand scent can be a personal entity. Therefore, unopened and unused candles are eligible for return within 7 days of purchase. If the candle has been used, lit, or altered in any way we cannot accept the return.

what is your shipping policy?
why non-toxic skincare + candles?
when our founder began curating her offerings of natural skincare over 10 years ago, there were virtually no products on the market for this niche. Tallow, now widespread, was unheard of in the early 2010's and it was a bit taboo to use skincare made from animal fats. Today, there's a vast range of tallow-based skincare, all claiming to be "the best". What sets Naturious apart is our unmatched quality, attention to detail, sincere care in the formulations and performance, and careful selection of ingredients adjacent to our high standards. Not all tallow is curated the same. Not all herbs are sourced fresh from local family farms. Our products are not simply whipped tallow and a few drops of Essential Oil. We pride ourselves in pioneering the new age of the old world ways by using healthy, saturated fats and slowly infusing them with fresh, organic herbs and flowers. A true art-form in it's own right, our offerings set a new found standard for non-toxic, natural and luxury skincare.
